description: I found a sturdy vintage Drexel chair on the curb on trash day and carried it on my mile walk home because despite it's water damage, filth, torn upholstery and chipped wood (did I mention filth?) I thought it had a lovely silhouette. I did some sanding, priming, and painting on many coats of chartreuse. I put comfy new foam on the seat and wrapped the back in cotton. The grey wool was also destined to be trash. It was scrap from a big project my boss was working on. Simplicity isn't my thing so I embellished the wool by embroidering many pale blue french knots in a barnacle-like pattern. The whole project cost less than $15 but it took me the length of the entire first season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
